Considering the extensive spread of infertility due to changes in lifestyle and also the spread of different types of cancer including gynecologic cancers, the necessity to manufacture medical devices in this field is felt more than ever. Thus, in 2013, at the start of its endeavors, Masstec started to manufacture IUI catheters with a modified design to take a step toward treating infertility. Since then, various other products have been added to Masstec’s product portfolio in this field which will be introduced in this chapter. Masstec Medical Co. has locally developed technologies for the design and manufacture of Ovum Aspiration Needles and Embryo Transfer Catheters, introduced the disposable types of some products for the first time in Iran (such as the Endometrial Suction Curette, Hysterometer, and IUD Hook), and also achieved a market share of 30 percent in Iran for IUI Catheters after being in the market for four years, which are testimony to the company’s implementation of technology and innovation, and its customeroriented approach.
